Member Policy
At Sb1 Federal Credit Union, we believe member privacy and data security are essential to our business. To protect our members' personal information, our employees follow a strict confidentiality standard. Employee access to customer information is authorized for business purposes only and is based on the sensitivity of the information our employees' need to know.
Information Collection
Sb1 collects, retains and uses information about you for the purpose of serving your financial needs and administering your account relationships. As you provide personal information and identification such as addresses, telephone and Social Security numbers, we will not disclose (share, sell, or divulge) this information to others unless we have informed you, been authorized by you, or are required to do so by law.
We may occasionally use your email address to inform you of products and services that we believe may be of interest to you. If you do not want to receive such unsolicited information, simply contact us at mail@sb1fcu.org.
We exchange certain information about our customers with selected credit reporting agencies in accordance with standard banking industry practice.
You should also be aware that there may be occasions where we are legally required to disclose information about you, such as in response to a subpoena, to prevent fraud, or to comply with a legally permitted inquiry by a governmental agency or federal regulator.
Security Standards
Our goal at Sb1 Federal Credit Union is to provide our members with the convenience of Internet delivery channels and to maintain the privacy of their confidential information. Sb1's NetBanker and Bill Payer Service uses industry standard security features as outlined below to assure the confidentiality of this information.
- Sb1's NetBanker uses secure communication. NetBanker will only allow browsers that support Secure Socket Layers (SSL). SSL ensures that electronic data communicated between your browser and Sb1 sites cannot be read by third parties even if the data is intercepted. Sb1 requires that you use a browser with 128 bit encryption.
- NetBanker also requires that you enter a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to verify your identity. In addition to the PIN verification, NetBanker will verify additional identifying information prior to processing your request.
- Sb1's NetBanker has a timer that will end your session if you do not interact with the site for a predefined period of time.
- Sb1's NetBanker uses a state of the art firewall to secure information of member data stored in our systems from penetration by unauthorized parties. The firewall serves as a control point to stop invasive data from entering our systems and assuring that only authorized data leaves our systems.
Accuracy and Right to Correct
We continually strive to maintain complete and accurate information about you and your accounts. Should you ever believe that our records contain inaccurate or incomplete information about you, please notify us at mail@sb1fcu.org. We will investigate your concerns and correct any inaccuracies.
